Screen reader access
This site follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at level AA so that people using screen readers can use it fully.
Using this site with a screen reader
- Each page begins with a skip link to the main content.
- Pages are organised with landmarks (banner, navigation, main, contentinfo) and a heading hierarchy, so you can move between regions and headings.
- Navigation menus are buttons that announce whether they are expanded; press Enter or Space to open and Escape to close.
- Tables have header rows; archives are ordinary tables with no merged cells.
- Links to PDF documents say so in the link text.
- Images carry text alternatives; decorative images are skipped.
